A sense of fulfillment and feeling proud has replaced the nerves I felt last week. The book has sold just under 100 copies in the first five days of its release. I have also been overwhelmed with lovely comments.
I had a wonderful celebration of the launch of the book on Sunday with friends and family that have supported me since falling off a mountain. It was lovely to be able to say thank you to them and it really did mark a huge milestone for me in the best possible way. I managed to get just over 40 of them on the water in boats and paddle around the loop on the river at Barrow Upon Soar. It is a bit of a sentimental paddle for me, as it was the first paddle I did on a river after I fell (just 6 weeks after). So it felt right to paddle it on this grand occasion. Much fun was had and I hope to put up a few selected pictures from the day when life settles down a little at the weekend.
Now though I am busy sending press releases to editors and busy promoting my book to different people. The book is available online at Amazon, iBooks both in printed and ebook format. So just search for Climbing Back or Gilly Mara and up I pop.
If you have read it please leave me a review whether you loved it or hated it.
