Today has been a strange one with different news which has been good to hear and not so nice to hear. My heart goes out to a dear friend from across the ocean. She is stronger than anyone I have ever met and hope she knows in tough times she has many people who care for her. my thoughts were with her today and also my Nan. Just to add to the strange day I've had, well actually its one very strange week for me, I thought I'd just let it continue. The week began with a little bout of illness and the end will see my book released!
So ... sometimes when you have lots f emotions flying about the art of distraction comes into play ... For me keep but and laugh ... laughter and finding the fun in simple things can make you feel wonderful and it then becomes infectious to all around you. This evening that was just so! Allow the pictures to tell the story.
It begun with this ... And then discoveries were made and perhaps I should have been called Dorothy?
As I discovered the yellow brick road ... Unfortunately I dug it up ... And 3.5 hrs later ... I had a big pile of soil :o)
It is amazing how such simple things like digging can bring neighbours together ... That you find them and you, admiring a big pile of soil, saying nothing, other than all of you standing in a line with your arms crossed.
You all then move like lemmings to stand in the hole where the soil was.
What shall the rest of the week hold ...
