So I am sat here on the computer looking at where the rain may come down and every few minutes updating the rain chasers website. I must be one of a small collective who like it when it rains. It was only last night I was on the river, paddling as usual, and the rain began coming down. It is such a nice feeling to paddle in the rain with the warm air around you... it is just so pleasant. You do not feel the rain drops, you just see them splash into the water and make a circular ripple effect. You only realise it is raining harder as you see more little circles forming ahead of you. It almost focus's the mind a little more on the paddle and makes you work harder, it is like the rain is willing you to push that bit harder!
As you may be generating the idea after reading this, that I had a rather hard but pleasant paddle last night. What was even better was to share the experience with a fellow paddler, happy days.
Just done another update, it looks like the rain is moving closer to land. yay... The only bit that may enhance the adventure is putting up a tent whilst it is raining... it has been a while since last doing that... lets hope I still have the technique.
So for now, I wish you a happy evening and hope to put one or two blogs out over the weekend... time to pack some paddling kit and clothes and then tomorrow the fun begins... paddling, walking with great company!
I may even have a little photo challenge... ten places to take a photo with the hat (as seen in piccie)... well sometimes the simplest things are the best :o) Also I won this hat at a recent ChangingLives Athlete Mentor training day... So it makes it even more special. I also have two of these hats... so will ensure others can play in this photo challenge.
