It is going to be a short blog update today mostly because the mozzies are out and I seem to be a feeding ground and providing a feast for them!
Today began with the temperature gauge at 33 (before 9am). The song from Nigel's cd as we past the gauge was the weather men and as I am the only female on a bus with the boys ... The boys sung their heart out and put on their best drag queen voices and I spent most of the journey laughing as we drove to the top of the river.
A few good full runs this morning and then I had the afternoon off. Sometimes you have to listen to your body. So spent the afternoon doing a bit of video analysis of the boys and watching people on the sprint course.
Our hosts made us a local dish for tea and they did their best to share their homemade red wine!!! I'm told it is quite fruity.
Tomorrow shall be a full on day with the opening ceremony in the evening. So expect a few pics!!!
However, right now it seems it's ice cream time!
The photo for today is taken from the bridge at the beginning of the gorge. You don't quite get the idea of the size of the waves (but remember the boat in the piccie is 4.5m in length). For those in the know of the River Adda this is the top half of the classic course.
