10pm on the channel Really on Saturday 10th January.
This evening sees the re-showing of the television programme I was on a couple of years ago, which goes through the story and injuries of my fall in 2002.
It was a great opportunity to be a part of the show and when asked to do it to promote the marvels of surgery and try and inspire more people into the medical profession ... I could not say No!
When recording the programme it was quite an experience and at the time it was one of the first times I had spoken publicly about the fall and accident. It gave me the confidence for writing the book and the reaction when it was first shown on the BBC, was wonderful. Now, with the book Climbing Back now published and selling well, it is a great way to look back and see where I have come.
Today I am sat having a relaxing morning over in Ireland. I am over training with a friend for an upcoming race and did some great paddling yesterday. Today I am a little achy to say the least :o) However, we did paddle a total of 32 miles, so not surprising. Although very windy we shall be out on the water in a couple of hours.
The start of the new year has begun well and I have been feeling on top form. I went back to work on Monday and was positively bubbly, so the Xmas break certainly was needed. I was then visiting schools on Thursday, which really was fantastic. I can't wait to start the Sky Sports Living For Sport Projects with both the Campion School (Leamington Spa) and the Westwood Academy (Coventry).
For now, time to enjoy the weekend!
